We do not accept returns as our paper products are personalized and custom-printed.However, if you are not satisfied with your order, please give us a call. We will correct mistakes made on the part of The Invitation Place as quickly as possible, and will send any reprinted stationery via expedited shipping. We want to have you 100% happy. So you can rest assured we will make any wrong, RIGHT!
Here is a checklist our customers have found useful in sidestepping a needless headache or heartache (e.g. realizing their fiance's name is misspelled!)
Are all the stationery items you've ordered included in the proof?
Are the ink, paper and envelope colors correct?
Are all fonts correct? Is the text spaced properly?
Is the alignment correct?
Double check all dates, names, professional titles, physical addresses, email & web addresses, and telephone numbers and make certain you've included all relevant information
Double check that there are not abbreviations and that all dates and addresses are spelled out (i.e. Street versus St.)
Double check spelling & punctuation
Are any design elements or motifs missing? Please note that all background patterns and borders are printed so if a pattern or border does not appear on your proof, it will not be printed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you have given final proof approval, you bear final responsibility for the design and typographical elements of your invitations. The Invitation Place will not bear the costs of reprinting and shipping orders due to any errors you have approved, nor will a refund be issued. Crafting perfect invitations is a shared responsibility and while we always try to do our best to lend an expert eye to every detail, the final review is owned by you!
See below for our recommended ink colors. In addition, you may choose a custom ink color by supplying us with a Pantone number or color swatch. Please note that when printing digital, we cannot guarentee an exact match, but we can get very close.
Yes, custom inks are available (fee may apply).Tell us which custom ink colors you want by either: Choosing a PMS (Pantone) color. Please note that we used uncoated Pantone colors, so please look at the Pantone solid uncoated formula guideSending us a swatch (paper, fabric, paint, etc.). We'll match the ink to the swatch as closely as possible.
No, because colous vary from monitor to monitor we cannot match a color on a computer monitor. Instead, we suggest that you print out the URL using a color inkjet printer, double check that the resulting color is what you want, and mail us the printout. We will identify the closest matching PMS (Pantone) color and adjust it to match as closely as possible.
There are 3 types of printing available to you. All pricing on the website is for digital printing. We do offer other types of print, including Offset (flat), Thermography (raised) and Letterpress- please contact us for pricing and timelines should you like to change your print method.
Script fonts look like handwriting and are recommended for the bride and grooms' names and headings. Sans Serif fonts lack the small embellishments, or serifs, on each letter, giving them a clean, modern appearance. We recommend using a san serif font if you want your invitation to have a more contemporary feel. Some Sans Serif fonts, such as Engravers Gothic, combine modernity with gravitas by being both streamlined and all caps. Serif fonts have the small embellishments that we often associate with traditional typefaces. We recommend using serif fonts for a more traditional look. Upper and lower case or all lower case serif fonts can be a good option for a casual, homey feeling.
I don't see the typeface I want on any of the wedding invitations on your website. Are other typefaces available?
Yes. If you don't see a typeface you like in our collection, you can request a custom font. You can send us the name of the typeface you would like and we will purchase it for you, or find the typeface and send us the font files. Typefaces can be purchased at www.myfonts.com. Fonts typically cost about $30.

We can create a custom logo, monogram or design for your wedding invitations. Pricing begins at $35 /hr

We specialize in custom work and have created custom invitation designs for hundreds of clients.
Please note The Invitation Place retains the all rights to its custom designs, even when created at the behest of a client, though we of course will not reuse any elements of your design until after your event!
We explore your ideas, colors, themes, and budget and arrive at an initial concept for your design. Any inspirational material you provide is helpful, too!
You approve an initial price quote and timeline
Next, you submit a 50% deposit, a signed contract and your invitation wording
We start designing your custom invitation
We send you proofs of your custom invitation
You get two free rounds of Adobe PDF custom design proofs. Any proofs above the "two free" are billed at $10 each
We revise these proofs based on your feedback
Once you approve the final proof, your design is sent for printing
YES WE CAN! We do offer rush orders – The cost is an additional $75 + the cost of expidited shipping which reduces the turnaround time as follows: Digital: 5-10 business days from proof approval (compared to our regular turnaround of 7-14 business days)We can also send unprinted envelopes to you ahead of the invitations, so you can begin addressing them while we print your wedding invitations. The cost is $40 + shipping. We also offer expedited shipping – we strongly suggest you spring for this if you're in a hurry!
